WEBINAR: Export Strategies & Opportunities in Japan Post-COVID-19 for Agribusiness and Food Manufacturers

Wednesday 30th September , 12:00 PM

In an unprecedented global health crisis, the reliance on trade has never been more important. Many Queensland exporters have been affected by this crisis, leading us to seek new opportunities for diversification and trade globally.

In a post-COVID-19 world, we must look to economic opportunities with our strategic partners and implement export strategies to benefit from those opportunities. This webinar will explore opportunities for Queensland exporters in the Agribusiness and Food sector in one of Australia’s strongest trading partners; Japan and, review appropriate post-COVID market entry strategies for this market.

Japan is Australia’s second-largest agricultural, forestry and fisheries export market, worth $6.1 billion in 2018-19. Australia has secured outcomes equal to, or better than, the best commitments Japan has made in any of its other trade agreements.

The Japan-Australia Economic Partnership Agreement (JAEPA) and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) are delivering significant benefits and opportunities to Australian farmers and agricultural producers (and downstream manufacturers) in a highly valuable market.

This webinar, presented by CCIQ, Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) - Japan, and the Queensland Japan Chamber of Commerce (QJCCI), will explore these opportunities, and market entry strategies for exporters in a post-COVID world. If you’re an existing exporter in the Agribusiness or Food Manufacturing sector, this webinar is for you.
