Unique Value Proposition, but what is it and why does my business need one? A Unique Value
Proposition (UVP) is a succinct, persuasive and truthful statement that communicates how your business is unique, the value you can offer and what you are proposing for your target audience/s.
As businesses become more and more competitive in this day and age, it's becoming increasingly important to stand out from the crowd.
In many cases a UVP reflects the essence of your business and gives your teampurpose and your customer's confidence that you are the business they need to do business with.
Articulated correctly, your UVP will give your business the competitive advantage and will become a powerful tool that could be the difference between converting a prospect into a client or losing them.
What are the benefits of a UVP? There are a number of good reasons to have a UVP, these include:
• Allows customers to see quickly what you have to offer (for instance have you ever visited a business website where it’s difficult to find out what the
business actually does?)
• Is used as part of an overall marketing strategy, helping to increase your leads, revenue, ROI and market share.
• Creates a clear message that can be used consistently as a communication tool throughout your company.
• Communicates how your business is unique.
• Increases connections with your customers, enabling you to get to know them better in terms of what they want and need.
